Doesn't happen. nVidia has locked drivers to only work if a driver poll shows an nVidia chipset string ID.

The main reason for multiple PSUs is to take the load off the first. Same reason you'd SLi/Crossfire GPUs. Some other reasons may include the need to power up your +12volt accessories, fans, lights, pumps, etc and combining the wattage of two lesser (including, but not limited to cheaper and generic) power supplies to feed those newer, more energy demanding graphics cards.

Hmm, nice though. QX9650 Processor, X38 moederbord, 4GB of DDR3 geheugen, and the videokaarten are a pair of 8800GTX.

With the rest of that, I'd have thought you would have gone for that GX2 monster. Or two ^^

Also, did I mis-read that, or did you really get 4 Terabytes of harde schijven?

(PS - I love Dutch, it's just like English spelled wrong )

Lol, I was wondering how you had learned dutch, or if it was just some weird translation-option I had accidentally clicked on.
Anyway, my new rig has arrived!
Asus p5k-e /wifi-ap
Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 (overclocking later), with stock cooling, changing that soon
Corsair Twin2X8500c5d (2gb, maybe i'll switch to 4 in a while, vista 32bit can recognize it with sp1, right?)
Corsair tx650eu psu
xfx 8600 gts 512 (don't need anything better right now, with a 17 inch screen)
A Coolermaster cm690
Primary hdd for os and programs= some OEM 250gb wd, came with my pavilion, I'm planning on upgrading that to a seagate/wd single platter 320gb, anybody know the exact model?
Secondary HDD= wd mybook essential, 500gb, usb. I'm going to take off the casing and just connect it with SATA later on.
All of this running on Vista Enterprise 32 bit (I would have gotten Ultimate, but my friend get's them for free from his uncle, so this is much easier and way cheaper )
And a samsung 720n 17" (I know, but I'm not going to buy anything better anytime soon, maybe when the 9900 gpu's come out.)
I have to recharge the camera, so I'll be uploading the pictures in a day or so.

Wow - a Phys-x in a laptop? Is that as standard, or an option?

It's invariably an option for desktops - and nobody ever opts

Nice lappy, though - very nice.

I'm guessing that the Phys-X board is standard in the current M1730's since it can't be modified as a component.

This is also my 2nd XPS Laptop. I've had very good results with the M1710, so I had no problems moving onto the M1730 once my wife's old desktop needed replacement. The M1730 is very fast... 60FPS in UT3 @1920x1200. The M1710 couldn't handle this resolution very well, but the M1730 had no problems with it.

Here's mine again, I took the divider out of my desk so I could fit two screens onto it.

The desk is ghetto, I know. But I'll have a new one eventually, it's much longer and considered a real computer desk.
